Society tells us that this will be the happiest season of our lives, but what happens when it's not? Many women will experience complications during the growth of their family which can include; infertility, pregnancy or infant loss, medical challenges, birth trauma and postpartum struggles. The truth is that 50-80% of women experience the baby blues and 1 out of 5 experience some sort of mood disturbance in the perinatal period (before or after pregnancy). The transition to motherhood is a challenging new territory and often requires significant adjustments and support.
85% of women experience significant emotional distress during or after pregnancy.

1 in 10 men or partners can struggle with PMAD, too! Did you know that men's hormones change after the birth of a child? I want to recognize the stress of the emotional experience of becoming a father, experiencing your own birth trauma or witnessing your partners birth trauma, sleep deprivation, having limited paternity leave, or grief. It is also very difficult for men to talk about what's going on. I want to work to provide a safe space for you.
My experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care surrounding issues surrounding maternal mental health. I treat a number of mental health disorders, no matter what stage you are in within your journey toward or through motherhood.
My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan specific to your needs and goals.
In a session with me, we will focus on engaging in a holistic, trauma-informed, and strength-based approach toward well-being. We will not only work on ways to help you cope, but how to culminate your best self. We will collaborate in conversation to help you reach your goals in a supportive space for vulnerability.
